Do You feel stressed?

In today’s world it is not uncommon for you to feel stressed at some point in your life. The problem is when you feel this way it can lead to issues with anxiety, depression, Irritable bowel syndrome, fertility issues, high blood pressure, insomnia and stomach ulcers.

Do you feel Overwhelmed?

When you feel stressed it can be overwhelming, like a pressure that keeps on building as your thoughts speed up. You may experience an increased heart rate, shallow breathing, sweaty palms and a spinning sensation in your body.

Do you have so many things going on?

You may have so many things going on with work, life events, family and personal problems that you are dealing with all at once. If you imagine that we all have a jug and if we keep on filling up that jug with water at some point it is going to start to overflow and when it becomes too much that is when you may experience panic attacks.

What you can do to relieve stress right now

So, what can you do to make things better?

Just stop for a moment and become aware of your breathing.

Breathe in for a count of 4

Hold for a count of 4

Release for a count of 4

Hold for a count of 4

And Repeat

And as you do this you may become aware now of your body relaxing and as you do this start to become aware of your thoughts, don’t judge them, just become aware of them and begin to slow down your thoughts, so each thought is spoken internally in a very slow way.

Just observe your thoughts as just thoughts – they are only words that are causing your feelings
